Festival with ecstatic dance
A place to come together.
Ancient Future Gathering brings together communities from Hungary, Austria, and Slovakia for a lakeside festival at Pápai Tavak. Its organizers include people from the ecstatic dance communities in Budapest, Vienna, and Slovakia.
The format sits between a festival and a retreat. Music, dance, and ceremony share space with conversations, shared meals, swimming, and rest. It is a gathering to consider if the connections around the dance floor matter as much to you as the dancing itself.
