An improviser at the decks.
Sefrijn is a Dutch DJ and multidisciplinary artist whose musical practice centres on ecstatic dance. Classical piano training sits alongside an interest in intuitive improvisation and responding to the room.
His sets bring together electronics, percussion, acoustic sounds and spacious, meditative passages. Rather than treating the journey as fixed, he describes making the selections in the moment while dancing along with the people in front of him.
He also teaches through DJ workshops and individual mentoring. His website offers recorded sets, including Ecstatic Dance Festival Holland, and his 2026 Cyprus festival appearance connects the DJ practice with a singing circle.
